We are celebrating our Building Church Together Initiative. You hopefully received a special brochure in the mail this week. This brochure reviews important aspects of making a financial commitment this weekend.
Please pray for the Building Church Together Initiative and respond with a grateful heart to make a commitment to financially support the many good things that are happening at St. John Nepomucene Parish.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration of this request. We look forward to your participation so that together we can Build Church Together and in turn Build the Kingdom of God.
As we saw the interior restoration of our church building with scaffolding, re-plastering and re-painting, it gave birth to an insight: namely, We Are Called to Build Church Together. Imagine all the people who have heard the Word proclaimed, received Sacraments, been assisted by our outreach ministries such as the rectory, food pantry, the Giving Tree, ministry to the sick and homebound, bereavement, and rosaries to the sick and those in the military. All this happens because people like you answer the call to build church together.
Thanks to your generosity, we are touching many lives; we are changing lives for the better. Your sacrificial giving enables these ministries to grow and continue. Also, your financial support enables us to maintain our facilities and keep up our grounds. We recently made $27,000.00 of capital improvements to our convent (kindergarten building), our rectory, and our property. We have an upcoming inspection of our church façade, hope to put in new garage doors, and hope to return to the initiative of “Light Up the Lord’s House” with more exterior lighting on our church façade on Fleet Ave.
We are celebrating our Building Church Together Initiative. You hopefully received a special brochure in the mail this week. This brochure reviews important aspects of making a financial commitment this weekend. We will be hearing a special witness from Sandy Yody.
After Sandy’s witness, we will be invited to turn in our completed pledge cards along with our prayer intentions. We will collectively pray for your intentions up to Sunday, November 21st. For those who have yet to fill out a pledge card along with your prayer intentions, time will be allotted after Sandy’s witness to do so.
After Sandy’s witness, our ushers will pass out the commitment cards to be filled out. Then the ushers will return to collect the completed cards.
